Holiday greetings to everyone!!
We will be leaving tomorrow morning for Springfield to kick off Aidan's very first Christmas!!! On Christmas Eve we will be at Gpa Karl and Gma Mary's for the day. Aidan's aunts and uncles will be there, and so will Great Gpa and Great Gma Diede! In the evening we will be attending Christmas Eve service at the UCC church with my Grandma and Grandpa Diede. A special offering is being held for Aidan, and for this we are very touched.
On Christmas Day we will head to Gma Debi and Gpa Ken's. We will also be sharing part of the day in Tyndall with the Becvar family!!
In January we will head up north to be with Jason's family - more Christmas time for Aidan!!
Beings Aidan has had a rough past couple of days, I am just hoping and praying that he has a good Christmas. I hope his seizures stay at a minimum so he can enjoy time snuggling with his family.
We have so much to be thankful for this holiday - especially for having Aidan here with us. We weren't sure if Aidan would be with us this Christmas, and here he is! Didn't want to miss out on Santa I suppose! You can never underestimate the power of the human spirit, and Aidan's is very strong and stubborn! We are very blessed to have such a special little boy.
This has been a very tough year, too. There have been many times that we have felt our faith slipping, often daily. We are very angry a lot, too. We hate to see our son in any pain, and often times he is struggling. This makes us very sad and really cuts down our spirit.
I know we only post pictures of the good times, and to the outside world it may seem that things are going well here. But the reality is Aidan does have very bad days, and those days seem to drag and drag. We don't take pictures of the bad times, but they are there. And it is because of these tough times that we still need our friends and family around us. We cannot express enough how important it has been for us to have such a great support system. Once again, I have to say that words cannot express how grateful we are for all that has been done for our family.
I have to admit that I was up most of the night crying because Aidan was having such a hard time breathing, and his seizures were very strong. I just stayed up and rocked him for hours. Last night I was feeling my faith really slipping away, and then something great happened this morning to make me smile. Not only did Aidan wake up in a much better condition, but we received a wonderful, and surprising, Christmas gift in the mail from the Sybesma family. When things like this occur, it makes us realize there are good things in this world - and good people. And then the world doesn't seem so dark and sad.
So thank you to everyone who has made our world not so dark, and for caring about our little Aidan as much as we do. We truly hope everyone realizes how important they are to us, and we wish everyone a very happy holiday.

Hi you guys! Just wanted to wish you a Very Merry Christmas! Also the Nikon D90 is awesome. Bryan loves it and is constantly dragging it with us everywhere we go. I feel like such a tourist in my own state. :)
Aidan is here for a reason. Whether you or anyone of us figure it out while he's here on earth or not till many many years away... one day you/we will know. He's a special kid who definately has taught you patience, love beyond the love you thought you had and he's a wise soul. His wisdom will last a lifetime. :)
