Aidan's 1st Christmas Part II

Aidan finished off the last of his 1st Christmas this past weekend! It was so great to see our family up north - we would have been really sad had we not been able to make it. We probably should not have been out on the roads this weekend, but once we hit the road it was almost pointless to turn back! We stopped counting at seeing 30 cars in the ditch (with the people still in the cars). The roads were pure ice and there was a constant blast of wind that made snow drifts all over the roads. Our travel time increased an hour each way, but luckily Aidan slept most of the time. He likes his carseat!

That's not snow on the road - it's pure ice! Notice the car up ahead in the ditch!

Grandma Patty got to be Santa and hand out the gifts!
Aidan & his cousin Skyler.
Aidan & his cousin Kasie.
Aidan & his cousin Haley.
Part of the gang - Steve, Amber, Carrie, Keith, me (feeding Aidan), Angie and Angel. Oh, and can't forget Jason's knees at the bottom!
Auntie Carrie & Aidan.
Uncle Steve & Aidan.
Auntie Amber & Aidan.
A little smirk from Mr. Aidan.

We took tons of pictures but I won't put them all up - just a few! I will try to send out some to everyone soon!

We went to Aunt Angie's & Uncle Cheldon's house first and ate and opened gifts. Then we headed to our hotel where everyone was able to come visit with each other and see Aidan. It seemed like such a quick trip because we left right away the next morning because the weather was still nasty. Hopefully next Christmas the weather won't be bad and we can stick around longer!

Aidan got a lot of cute gifts - new toys and snazzy new clothes!

Aidan turned 6 months old on Sunday, so stay tuned for another post with pictures from his 5th month and new pictures of him trying out his peas!!

It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. I'm glad you made it safely there and back. How scary to see all those cars in the ditches. Nothing like that seen here that's for sure.

Yes, I sometimes think of you guys when we have these ridiculous snowy days! I lived in Tucson for a tiny bit so I know how nice it is to not deal with ice and snow!!
