We just pray and pray that his seizures subside...
He has been on Phenobarb since birth, and his newest med Trileptal since December 1st. The only change we have seen since the Trileptal is less absent seizures, but the same with amount and severity of all the other seizures! It has been a blessing to get a decrease in the absent seizures because that was what was holding him back from eating!
About the seizure videos I took this evening - he has been having these seizures since about 8 o'clock this morning. We tried giving him Ativan to calm him, but as usual it really does no good.
This is a typical seizure movement - he usually shoots one arm straight out, and brings the other one in towards his face. He also brings his leg up towards his chest, too. He has no particular side that he leans toward - it switches from day to day, or hour by hour.

Usually he only has this seizure about every 3-5 minutes, but the severity is not as bad. Today he was having them back to back.

A moment of peace! This is Aidan sleeping, and one of his rare moments when he is not in some type of movement.

Aidan continuing to sleep - but then a seizure sets in. And this is why he gets so little sleep - just when he finally conks out a seizure will wake him up :( This will happen all day long until finally at night time he passes out (but is usually still moving in his sleep).

Aidan eating peas for the first time on his 6 month birthday! Notice how he is still constantly moving - his head mainly, and notice his little thumb going up and down. This is a typical Aidan movement and is not a seizure. But you can see how it can be quite tricky to feed him - you gotta follow and keep up with him!

I hope these videos will give show a snippet of what Aidan goes through on a day to day basis - and what we face as parents. I don't really like to show the seizures because I don't think they define him in any way. He does have happy, peaceful moments! However, they are a big part of our daily lives.
We continue to hope and pray that someday these seizures will disappear!!! Please pray that Aidan receives some relief (or complete relief!) from these horrible fits!
